SOAP: DAY 9 – To See The Kingdom Of God
As mentioned before, there are so many deep theologically significant relevancies to our daily life found within God’s Word that 50 people could look at the same passages and come up with 50 different viewpoints on relevancy. For today, these are mine.
Did you become aware of something different? Continue reading

SOAP: DAY 6 – How Glorious To Be Seen
I realize now that throughout my entire life I was aware that something was missing, that I was being pursued and many times had the invite to “follow Him” but I wasn’t done chasing pleasure, career, and worldly securities. Continue reading

SOAP: Day Five – Come And You Will See
Many argue that the Bible isn’t relevant any longer, that it is simply a collection of stories from ancient times long past.
SOAP is the answer to that misconception. The Word is alive and if we come to it with a hunger and thirst for finding relevance, we will find it, because it is there. Continue reading

SOAP: Day Four – BEHOLD!
There seems to be some relational psychology involved, for when you trust and love your Father, a good smack-down is welcomed because you know that He only provides insight into the things that will improve your life. Continue reading

Soap: Day Two – Unfailing Love and Faithfulness
Jesus is God and lived among us – this is truly beyond human comprehension. How can anyone truly believe that to be true? Do I? The very foundation of Step Two of 12-step recovery work is “Came to believe that a power greater than myself could restore me to sanity.” Continue reading

A Season of S.O.A.P
Powerful worship service, a good sermon and times of prayer are all rewarding experiences, but an intentional time of getting deep into God’s Word seems to draw me closer to the heart and mind of Christ unlike anything else. It’s like a cup of coffee with a mentor, where you find yourself hanging on every word because each word matters. Continue reading

But Overcome What
“My parents never called me stupid, why do we do that?” (side note: if you aren’t prepared to get a profoundly probing response, never ask a life coach why we do stuff) Continue reading

Why Does It Feel Like Jesus Isn’t Enough?
Luke 10:29-35 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 In reply, Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of … Continue reading

When is Weakness Not Weakness
until we become self-aware of our negative beliefs and unhelpful thinking patterns we become prone to letting the feelings; those nay-sayers; to take us out. Continue reading
A Season Of Suffering
I have come to discover that the reason the words of those closest to me sting so deeply is because just beyond my own conscious awareness has been this Inner-Condemner who has been spewing the same lies my entire life! Continue reading
