I don’t always set out to create a Series. Sure something like the Armor of God makes perfect sense to group together as I study and reflect upon each of the components of the armor; but this one is different.
I have been wrestling for what seems like months with areas of my own life and behavior that I have had an uncomfortable sense God keeps coming back to but they have remained just outside of my peripheral awareness.
As I stepped back and looked over the last few blogs I realized these all have the same theme – self examination of my own heart and motives. And what I’ve discovered has been difficult to look at squarely and admit too.
Ezekiel 16:49 Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.
My prayers is that if anyone can identify with these revelations in my own life that you will join me in repentance and daily ask God to reveal our selfish motivation and that He then give us the courage to walk, live and love according to His good will and purposes and more fully die to ourselves each new day.
May He be more fully glorified and magnified
